KUALA LUMPUR – Employers are eligible for an 80 per cent discount on Socso Late Contribution Charges (FCLB) from today until the end of February 2026, Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan announced.
He said the decision was finalised following discussions with the Social Security Organisation, particularly involving cases where employers had failed to register employees or make timely contributions.
“Socso has agreed to reduce penalties by 80 per cent, but employers must complete payment before the deadline at the end of February,” he told reporters.
Currently, an estimated 300,000 employers are affected by FCLB, with accumulated penalties amounting to RM157 million since 2018.
Ramanan urged employers to take advantage of the initiative and settle their dues promptly, emphasising that contribution payments are crucial to ensuring employee protection.
Acknowledging economic pressures faced by businesses, particularly MSMEs, he said the temporary reduction aims to ease financial strain while ensuring companies continue to operate sustainably.
