KOTA KINABALU — A total of 70 inmates across Sabah and Labuan were granted conditional licensed release in conjunction with Christmas 2025 under the “Ihsan Madani: Kepulangan Yang Dinanti” programme.
During a ceremony at the Sabah State Prison Director’s Office, 10 individuals were officially released, including eight from Kota Kinabalu Central Prison and two from the Kota Kinabalu Women’s Prison.
The event was officiated by Penitentiary and Correctional Division head Abu Sufian Mansoor and attended by senior prison, police and welfare officials, reflecting collaborative efforts to support reintegration into society.
The initiative emphasises compassionate rehabilitation consistent with Malaysia Madani principles, providing a second chance for former inmates to rebuild their lives and contribute meaningfully to the community.
