KANGAR: A 34-year-old police corporal has pleaded not guilty to seven counts of raping a teenage girl, with the alleged offences said to have taken place across several locations in Kangar over the past two years.
The accused, Muhammad Farhan Abdul Karim, faces charges under Section 376 of the Penal Code, which carries up to 30 years’ imprisonment and caning upon conviction.
He allegedly committed the offences in November 2024, as well as June, July, September and October 2025, including inside a police vehicle, in school toilets, a hotel and a residential property.
Magistrate Ana Rozana Mohd Nor granted bail totalling RM42,000 with strict conditions, including a prohibition on contacting or approaching the victim.
The court fixed January 20, 2026, for case mention pending forensic results.
